Introduction
The notion of political correctness has recently appeared in the society. Consequently, this phenomenon is not fully investigated at the moment. In linguistics this phenomenon is researched on the material of politically correct terms which are used today in different spheres of communication. In spite of the great interest of linguists towards politically correct vocabulary of the English language, a lot of questions are still actual. First of all, the term “politically correct terminology” has not any unified definition. Moreover, there is not any strict classification of politically correct terms and spheres. The topicality of the present research consists in the necessity to hold a complex analysis of politically correct terms in linguistic aspect and to reveal their main linguostylistic features observed in different spheres of communication.
The object of the research is politically correct terminology.
The subject of the research is a range of linguostylistic features and functions of politically correct terminology.
